Journalism : What traits does it take to be a photojournalist/Movie Response

After watching the movie "Dying To Tell A Story", my views on journalism have changed completely. I've always been interested in the news and what's going around the world, but now that I've seen a video about the journalists that do the photography, I think I respect journalists a lot more.
Being a photojournalist, the people that take the pictures go into dangerous areas and situations in the world where their life is constantly at risk. They go into war zones and places with conflict where people are dying of violence, poverty and starvation all the time. At first when I saw the video, I hated the idea of photojournalism. I thought it was terribly immoral and wrong to watch people suffering and dying, and just stand there and take a picture and not help them. I didn't understand how a person could seem so heartless and just watch as someone was dying or suffering, because I know I couldn't. But after the video, I saw interviews with some of the photojournalists, and I respect them a lot more. I think that journalists have to be brave to go on their assignments, because there's always a risk of getting injured and killed. They also have to be able to hold back emotion when seeing people in so much pain, and focus on their job and having to take the photos and leave, so they can show them to the world. They also have to learn how to not be completely emotionless, because doing that kind of job you probably learn to not feel as much, at least while you're shooting. I actually think photojournalists might be more emotional then a normal person because all of the things they have to see while working. I think photojournalists are brave, and emotionally strong because they have to watch so many terrible things happen, but at the same time, they probably see some of the better things, like people helping each other when they need it.
Photojournalism is a fascinating field, and at first I didn't like it, but I've realized that these people risk their lives everyday to go into war/conflict zones, not just because they want to take pictures, but because they want to take these photographs to get the news out, and show them to everyone, so people around the world are able to see the things, both terrible and wonderful, that happen, and know what's going on in other places in the world.
