Media decides people's self esteem. The media tells us what is good looking and what is not. It programs into us what we should be, but never can be.

When you die... I hope we go to a heaven. But part of me thinks we just stop existing. I hope not though.
Marijuana should not be legalized. I don't believe in cigarettes/drugs/ or even alcohol. Marijuana makes you high. It is mentally addictive and is just one more escape route from life. And it is not good for you.
I think it should be optional to go to school, and I think you should be able to start whenever. That way it would make educational more valuable and students would be more excited to learn. Instead of school being forced upon us, we would want to learn.
Would you rather be alone or with a group of people?
ReplyDeleteI'd honestly rather be with a group of people then by myself most of the time. Although, sometimes some alone time is incredibly needed.
My favorite type of writing is poetry - nonfiction narrative poetry.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a Heaven and Hell, but neither are all gold and beauty or flames. Heaven unites us with our family and helps us come to terms with our lives. Hell is solidarity to me, maybe we never go anywhere at all to go to Hell. We think we're still alive, but we're not.
I don't think marijuana should be legalized. It's a constant cycle. If marijuana is legalized, people would push for more laws to be changed that have to do with illegal substances, or alcohol laws. I think that drugs are drugs, addictions are addictions. I don't think it's fair to make an exception.
I plan on majoring in psychology when I attend college, with a minor in Law.

ReplyDeleteI know that the media effects self-esteem. When I was little, I thought that I was fat, and wanted to look like Britney Spears. These feelings have persisted throughout my entire life, as I have always been exposed to women who are thinner and more beautiful than I am.
